US Route 20 in Oregon

 

 

click photo to enlarge		 US Route 20  ends at the Pacific Ocean in Newport Oregon. Once we reached that point we drove down the coast into California. In Oregon approaching Bend and also leaving Bend we had views of the Three  Sisters. closely spaced volcanic peaks each one over 10,000 ft. and they were snow covered in June. The views along the coast in Oregon were beautiful and there were plenty of state parks to pull off and enjoy the coastal views.

click photo to enlarge		 We also found a number of places to pull off the road and enjoy lunch with nice views. One of the things we enjoy most about or motor home is the views out the back windows. The covered bridge at the Cascadia Day use area in the Willamette National Forest. The bridge is named The Short Bridge and is one of Oregon's historic covered bridges. It also made a nice place to stop and enjoy lunch listening to the South Santiam River.
