While we were visiting Cleveland we ended up at the shores of Lake Erie a number of times all the way from Erie PA to Rocky River Ohio. Pictures included in this post are Euclid Beach park, Ashtabula Harbor, Edgewater Park, Conneaut White Turkey Drive In and Headlands Beach State Park. Euclid Beach was an Amusement Park from 1895 to 1969. A part of that land is now occupied by the Cleveland Metro Parks. Edgewater Park shown below in the rain, is no longer a city park but  is now part of the Cleveland Lakefront State Park.

The white Turkey Drive in started by Eddie and Marge Tuttle in 1952. They wanted to create a menu item that would showcase their farm-raised turkey. They named the restaurant after the breed of Turkey they raised on their ranch, the White Holland and they featured a turkey sandwich. It is only open during warm weather and provides a good place for young college students to work. The place was immaculate and the food was very good.
