Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California and Western
Nevada. It is the lowest, hottest, and driest national park in the United
States. The park is home to a variety of desert plants and animals, including
the Death Valley tortoise, the Amargosa vole, and the saltbush lizard. Death
Valley Junction is a small unincorporated community located in Inyo County,
California, at the intersection of U.S. Route 190 and State Route 127. The
community is named for its location at the junction of two major roads leading
to Death Valley National Park. It is also home to the Amargosa Opera House. |
