Ever since we found about the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts we have been going once or twice a year. We typically fly in the night before then they the day it ends we leave. This time we rented a VRBO in nearby Blairsville that was a real log cabin. It was on top of a small mountain and when we sat out on the front or back porches there was no manmade noises, only nature. In the evening we would hear deer in the forest outside the back porch as they rustled though the leaves.

We went to visit nearby sights and attractions like the Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge Georgia, they had the best fried apple pie.  Brasstown Bald Visitors center which is the highest point in Georgia at 4,784 ft. I kept seeing billboards that said Drugs and Guns and I was very curious to see just what that was as pot is not legal in Georgia. It turns out it is a drugstore that also sells guns so you can get your Prozac and a military style rifle all at the same time. Then there was a Buc-ees we passed on the way coming and going so we stopped both ways and ate their BBQ. If you have never been to one you need to experience it at least once in your life. We picked up a Buc-ee a few years back and he travels with us in the motorhome all the time. He is a traveling Beaver for sure.
