Bombay Beach, CA.

Bombay Beach, California, is a haunting and surreal landscape. It was once a bustling resort town on the Salton Sea, it now stands as a ghostly relic. We have watched the changes in the 24 years we have lived out here. The Salton Sea's receding waters and increasing salinity have left behind a desolate, otherworldly environment.

Yet, amidst the decay, a unique artistic spirit has emerged, with colorful murals and installations transforming the town into an open-air gallery. Bombay Beach is a place of stark beauty and contradictions, a testament to both human resilience and the fragility of nature. The Ski Inn Bar and restaurant also make a pretty good hamburger and is also uniquely decorated. We are glad to see all of the new art installations.
