Crater Lake National parks main feature is a lake formed by a volcanic crater. It is famous for it's deep blue water. There are no inlets and no outlets for the water and because of this it is extremely clear. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States and the second deepest in North America. I wore shorts and a t-shirt and was lucky my wife had a heavy long sleeve shirt I could put on.

We could not get a campground in the park so were at a campground in Fort Klamath with a spot overlooking Fort Creek. Buc-ee was happy to have a spot on the water as you can see by his big grin. Again it was cool and we were having temperatures in the low 100s at home. Nearby was Train Mountain Railroad, the worlds largest miniature hobbyist railroad with over 40 miles of track.
