Towering sandstone titans, cloaked in crimson hues, pierce the vastness of the Arizona desert. This is Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, a landscape etched in legend and steeped in cultural significance. Winding through the heart of the valley, the 17-mile self-guided tour invites exploration, while guided Jeep adventures delve deeper, revealing ancient dwellings and hidden wonders. We camped at Gouldings RV resort and it was one of the prettiest places we have ever camped. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Last time we were here 15 or so years ago we drove the 17 mile road ourselves. This time we took a guided tour and they took us places you are not allowed to  drive by yourself. The Navajo people themselves become storytellers, weaving tales of resilience and reverence for this sacred land, ensuring visitors leave not just with awe-inspiring memories, but with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and cultural richness of Monument Valley. Both ways are a great way to see and experience this beautiful place.
