One of our favorite things about travel is being able to eat local foods that you don't find other places. The White Turkey Drive‑in in Conneaut, Ohio, is a beloved roadside diner and summer tradition that’s been serving classic American drive-in fare since 1952. Founded by Eddie and Marge Tuttle — who named it after the White Holland turkeys they raised on their farm — it keeps the spirit of the 1950s alive with original root beer barrels, jukeboxes playing oldies, and a simple menu that hasn’t changed much over the decades. They are only open from Mothers day weekend to Labor day. oh.. and the food is great too.

We also like to drive along the shore of Lake Erie hading back home. It is nice to see the growth that is happening along the lake. Many new homes and the harbor in Ashtabula is growing with new restaurants and businesses.
