click photo to enlarge		 Float decorating for the 2026 Rose Parade was a remarkable blend of artistry, teamwork, and tradition, as thousands of volunteers worked tirelessly in the days leading up to New Year’s Day. Inside the bustling float barns, every surface was carefully covered with natural materials such as flowers, seeds, leaves, and grasses, all meticulously placed by hand to meet the parade’s strict all-natural requirement.

click photo to enlarge		 We got to participate in this work and it was really amazing. In the barn we were working in there were 16 different floats being decorated. The air was filled with the scent of fresh blooms and the quiet focus of decorators racing against the clock, especially as rain added an extra challenge to the final hours.
