The Campsite

First thing there are 8 campsites in Joshua Tree and they are all pretty neat. Each one has rocks you can set your tent up against and then climb. Facilities are the pits though if you know what I mean.
This is a typical campsite at one of the camps. I'm not sure which one this is.
This was my campsite. I had the tent tucked up near the rocks for shade. Then I went to the truck to get a hammer, turned and saw my tent blowing away. Then when I tried to hammer it down near the rocks guess what... It was all rock. So, the tent was moved out to where you see it here.
This is looking out from my campsite near sunset. The colors were so pretty I had to snap a few pictures.
Another view near sunset. As soon as the sun went down the coyotes started howling. There was a guy a few sites down setting up a pretty fancy telescope which I got to use later. It was all computerized. He entered in what galaxy or nebulas and it went to it. The stars were just unbelievable. Later when the moon went down the Milky Way was so bright it actually cast a shadow. I have never seen anything like it in all my life. It was fabulous.
